Homemade Meals for Mom

Homemade Meals for Mom

I am one of the lucky ones. Why? Because I have had the opportunity to spend time and really get to know my parents from an adult perspective. Both my parents are close to 90 years old and are fortunate to have their health and ability to live in their own home. And while they generally eat very healthy, there are days when they just don’t have the energy to prepare a well balanced meal. So on my bi-weekly visit, which always includes a homemade dinner, I would simply make extra so they could have leftovers for a few days. And, to make sure they had some convenient, heat-and-eat meals for the days in between visits, I would make some healthy soups and/or stews frozen in just the right portion for one person for them to have handy. Using the Inmyel Freezer Cube made it easy to freeze multiple bags at time flat so they could store efficiently in their freezer. It is sure better than them eating canned or frozen processed foods from the grocery store!
